How Kenotic Process Theology Underpins Humanist Deep Ecology

Peter Forrest

Abstract

Humanist deep ecology will be distinguished from the more common biocentric deep ecology. Then kenotic process theology will be presented not as an alternative to the process theology of Hartshorne so much as a version of it, and it will be shown to provide a more adequate underpinning of humanist deep ecology than either classical theism or a purely secular world view.
